The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's exterior had minor changes in the previous model year, and most of the mechanical and structural components (including frame, engines, transmissions, suspension, and brakes) were redesigned, strengthened or improved. Like all Silverados, the 2500HD is available in a wide array of bed sizes, wheelbases, drive types and cab sizes, as well as a variety of trim levels.

The cab's only downside is an off-center steering column.
Fuel consumption can be sky-high with the gas engines.
Massive towing and hauling capacities, refined and quiet ride, solid build and materials quality, more in-control steering feel than other HD trucks, comfy seats.
The Ford F-250 is its closest competitor, but the GM trucks offer a bit more hauling and towing ability and arguably a better interior (particularly with the LTZ trim).
